shotz 0 Posted May 24, 2006 Eight months after flood waters destroyed homes and lives in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans there is still no clean up underway, much less the promised 'rebuilding'. No matter what becomes of the neighborhood, should we not at least be cleaning up the ruins? Link to comment
creative art and photograp 0 Posted May 24, 2006 If it is any concellation to you, Hurricane Andrew took several years to get to a point where the damages were truly accessed. Several years after that before clean up acutally could be appreciated. Clean up sounds simple- in actuality, it can be a long, drawn out process- politics, homeowners facing that reality factor, money misspent etc, and most importantly, where do you put all that potentially contaminated debris? Best wishes and good luck and God Bless! Link to comment
