I just met this girl today and thought I would share this image with you. I hope you understand the 'DOG' reference.

I actually took this in a park but felt it had a bit of a studio / fashion feel about it.

The model did offer to remove her ear rings. Perhaps I should have taken her advice but I felt they added a touch of colour.

Feedback appreciated!

Should there be anyone looking for my more daring work, you can always do a search for me on photopoints or photosig where I have uploaded some new images along with some of my deleted images. I am sure to be uploading more soon.

Och David a can religiously say that the lady is no dog and that you collared the picture very nicely !!!

Eduardo, Thanks a lot. Having a lovely model certainly helps.

Renate, You are absolutely right. You will notice I have removed the comment to which part of yours refers. I always advise others to ignore the ratings but the 3/3s for this were both given in little more than a minute. Anyway! I am glad you like it. Thanks! I like this one myself.

Edwin, I am sure later uploads of this model will settle any religous doubts that you may have. From your comment it would appear you don't have any but I will clarify them anyway.

Tom, 'Dead On Gorgeous' she is. I hope you will like any future uploads just as much so.

Thanks everyone.

From the lower face she seems to be a lovely lady, your composition flatters her but the title? I don't think she'll approve.

Alec, trust me, this lady needs no flattery from me. As for the title, I told her what I was going to call it and she seemed to approve. Maybe she mis-heard me. I'll check with her and let you know.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just from the lower look she reminds me of a lady from Seychelles I met in KL at the Beach Pub. Very pretty and confident - studying for her degree in Mass Communications at the local Uni. David any full face of her?

I like this one a great deal. the only problem I have with it is the lack of a bit of ear on her left side to ballance the right side. I know this was a quick shot so my point may well be mindless nitpicking. Hope you took more of her, she looks beautiful.

I'm happy you didn't let her remove her earrings.

Tasty Turquoise!

- in great contrast, to the pink lipsstick and red collar.

I'm impressed with the studiolook, considering you shot outside.

Well done David ;-)

Best regards,

Marco/

Alec, This girl is not from the Seychelles but it is interesting to think that there are 2 people in this world that look like her. She really is beautiful. As for your request for a shot with her whole face, I will try to post one next week. I wasn't going to but since you are such a nice chap.....

Owen,You are nit picking but it is not mindless. Irrespective of how a photograph is taken it is little things that spoil an image for the viewer.

I did take more of her and I will post one or two of them next week. Like Alec... you are nice chap too.

Marco, It may not be the correct thing to say but I am impressed with the result myself. I am very humbled by the fact that you are too.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks lad. The Irish have to keep the Scot's in line now and again. After all, we are all Celt's.

The crisp focus on the lips and nostrils are evidence that this is a serious photo, using a superior lens. Otherwise, quite frankly, there is nothing to distinguish it from a too-close snapshot using a disposable camera. She has no eyes and no character. The eyes are the portals to the soul and the lips are the doorway to the stomach. You have made her a dog. Satire written with light.

I thank you for your honesty but I do beg to differ. 'The eyes are the portals to the soul... I would say 'The eyes are the main portals to the soul.' The eyes are not the only portals. I feel sorry for you that you cannot see others.

'...and the lips are the doorway to the stomach.' Again, if you think the only function of lips is to act as a doorway to the stomach, you have missed out on so much in life.

'You have made her a dog. Satire written with light.' I have not made her a dog. The satire was intended even if we derive at the conclusion for different reasons.

I did not say that it was a bad photograph, -- just unusual on this website. The note about satire was meant as a compliment. The camera is so honest that it is hard to be satirical with this medium, compared to, say, cartoons. Basically, I am saying well done!

Thanks for getting back to me. I do often try to be original and I do take the word 'unusual' as a compliment. I actually thought your critique was quite unusual too. I think perhaps we misunderstand each other at least in part. I did realise that your comment about satire was meant as a compliment. My reply was trying to indicate that maybe we see the satire in different ways. Reading my original reply to you, I was perhaps being a bit hard on you but I did mean what I said. The way we use language is a little different.

I hope all is clear. Once again, thanks for being honest.

Dave, I like this photo. I have come back to it a few time and just stared at it. I like the crop on it alot. The color of the color works well with the skin tones. Hope to see more of her soon.

Thanks

Stephen

I can understand why you like this image. Your request to see more of her is also understandable. I will oblige! I am beginning to believe (actually I have always known) it is not the talent of the photographer that is so important, it is how beautiful the subject is.

Thanks David, I see her full face now. Only recognised her from her accessories. You're right, very different from my girl in Seychelles. She's a 'farang' ^_^
