animalu 0 Posted August 8, 2001 This was taken at Red Island on the Salton Sea. It was a really bad exposure to begin with, so I tried to bring it to life in Photoshop via dodging and burning. I burned out the coastline sand totally, as well as a line on the horizon. Brightened the highlights on some of the rocks. I burned the edges too. Kodak DC280 Digital. Link to comment
chjohnson 0 Posted August 8, 2001 When I first looked at the larger version of the photo, it looked like it was shot with IR film. I must say that I enjoy the grainy feel of the image and the uneven lighting that was surely the result of your dodging and burning. Link to comment
gl5 0 Posted August 8, 2001 Lose the cheesy photoshop effects. You image should be able to stand on it's own without having to hide behind conspicous Photoshop manipulation. Link to comment
