Cars

Taken at the Salton Sea, Southern CA, Kodak DC280 Digital.

I like the overall composition with the elongated car (the near part almost looks like a tree trunk), the pond with the white sand/salt bar in it, and the low sky. The off level horizon bothers me somewhat but I have a feeling you did that intentionally (why?). A little more character in the sky would have been nice but isn't really necessary in my opinion.

 

If you were to consider some detail work, I might try dodging the very brightest parts of the sand/salt bar and the bright part in the pond. I might try burning the sky a little as well (although I admit that this might further emphasize the tilted horzon and bother me more).

Good, as usual. Did you see the exhibit by Christopher Landis "In Search of Eldorado: The Salton Sea"? It's interesting that this place inspires photographic work with similar mood in similar yet clearly distinct styles.
