Guest Guest Posted May 21, 2006 Bob, This is really a great portrait. Aesthetically, I love the quality of the light, the soft toning and the composition. It's so much stronger in landscape format with the negative space than it would be if composed more traditionally. That empty space suggests a sense of lonliness or perhaps a desired personal space, out of earshot from other people. Of course the subject is what's most important here. You've documented part of what it is to be a girl. That phone will likely be attached to that ear for the next five years. This is one of those shots she'll show her grandchildren.
