carsten_ranke 0 Posted May 20, 2006 As you know, I am a big fan of integrated compositions, with crosstalk of sky and land patterns and lines. This is a formidable example, curves in sky and land are marvellously entwined, intriguing ! Probably not far from your home - such rare occasions are found mostly when you walk through known territory repeatedly. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 22, 2006 David, really your "trade mark". I like the subdued color pallet, with the soft vegetation, the small trees shown on top of the ridge, like little hair... and the partly bright space above. Even technical information is importent, for me what counts is if an image touches my feelings, and your work in general is doing just that. Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Thanks Carsten and Pnina. Carsten. this shot is not actually close to home. This was taken in the desert areas in the eastern part of Washington State. Pnina, thank you for your comments about the emotive aspect of my landscapes. That is something I really pay attention to. Thank you both... Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 2, 2006 I agree with Pnina about the colour palette - very effective and gentle with the clouds adding a soaring feeling above the landscape descending towards the eye. Link to comment
