The various pairs of legs tell the story here in this late Spring

photo from a large Ukrainian metropolis, bound for my 'Threes'

Presentation. Can you spot the 'three' I am referring to? Your

ratings and critiques are invited and most welcome. If you rate

harshly or very critically, please submit a helpful and constructive

comment. Please share your superior knowledge to help improve my

photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John

i got the pair of legs, what i don't get is "the story". i like the balance of the picture, and the depht of it, would have like a lower thicker somehow contrast but i'm usually alone about that....

Well, I can see why you're 'alone' about 'thicker' photos sometimes. Snow just doesn't look good when it's 'gray' as our eyes see it as 'dirty' when in actuality we experience it as 'clean' (except in New York City where we used to place bets after a snowstorm as I went to Columbia University on how long it would take beautiful, ultrawhite reflective snow to turn first to gray, then black because the buildings of upper manhattan were heated each with their own oil-fired furnace, turned on every morning, accompanied by a 'CLANK, CLANK, CLANK, CLANK of radiator pipes announcing the return of heat to a building, if one lived off campus, as I later did).

Not every photo has to have a 'story' -- this photo is about a 'street' scene, and 'legs'. Three pairs of them to be exact, and what they are doing. The ones attached to humans are engaged in work or striding -- those on the poster (besides having two sexes) are ultra-relaxed -- (a fairy-tale world for these Ukrainian).

I guess that's the story, which I didn't articulate above because it's so obvious to me, and even why I took the photo -- life versus dreams. Using your legs versus a staged dream world of relaxation.

That's the story.

It was just 'too obvious' for a direct answer. It's why I took the photo in the first place.
