ntv666 0 Posted May 19, 2006 Dear Mr.Dave It's beautiful color and composition 6/6. It would be nice if you have cropped the top line reflections in the corner and one in the middle. Another nice work is your Framing with matching colors. Can you please teach me how to make such a wonderful borders with PhotoshopCS2 and how to print your name in that? I will be greatful to you if you could spare a few minutes for me./ Thanks and with regards Thangavelu Nachimuthu New Delhi / India Link to comment
ell 0 Posted May 19, 2006 The greens are beautiful. Nice capture of the subject too. Find the white frame a little too harsh for this exquisite image. Perhaps a little thinner or less opacity? Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted May 19, 2006 Thanks Thangavelu, I appreciate your comments. I know what you mean about the top, I tried to leave as little as possible to offset the dark bottom since I didn't want to manipulate the picture. I could use the healing brush or patch tool but I'm attempting to improve my hardware skills (camera) vs my software skills.I will contact you via email regarding the borders. Thanks again, Dave in Oregon Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted May 19, 2006 Well Thangavelu and Eileen, I've created an alternate rendition with both of your suggestions. The framing issue is obvioiusly endless and very subjective. See what you think. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 24, 2006 I agree that the top hilights are distracting. Instead of cropping to get rid of them, how about using the clone tool, set it at a certain opacity and slowly make them neutral? (Disclaimer: I don't know ps well) Very nice details and I can clearly see the spider web. Had always wanted to get one of these flowers. The photo feels unbalanced because of the tight crop on the right side. Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted May 27, 2006 Thai, yes I know but I didn't want to alter in CS2, I just wanted it without major alterations. I'm including a shot of where the flowers are currently with a looser crop on the right. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 1, 2006 Maybe it's just me but I do like the composition on the most recent attachment much better. However, the background goes to the original. Link to comment
