Fantastic lighting, great comp and a nice use of sepia. Was this the B&W setting on the camera with the sepia colourisation, or was it done in P/S? A really original picture.

Nice shot. THe detail in the cumulus clouds directly between the highlights and the darker tones is very good. Highlights in the upper clouds are not too washed out. I like the composition. If I had to pick something that is less appealing it would be the (what appear to be anyway) lens flare in the lower right hand corner. If shooting through a window on a plane for example, sometimes it is the glass/plastic there and not necessarily in the lens itself. Because the sun - extreme hightlight - is just out of view, the camera might have pulled in the flare. Could use a flag or even a hand if you see it creaping in to the image. You can remove this in photoshop using the cloan or healing bursh tools. This could also be a natural phenomenon like beams through the clouds, etc. Having shot many natural world images myself I see things in my images that look fine in the real world, but when cropped by my camera's sensor of the film frame, they look out of place and sometimes distracting. In these cases I remove them. Overall I love the image, your chose of duo tones, and the composition.

Thanks for stopping by. The sepia color tone was done in PS but the light is natural (original). No special lighting effects added. All my cloud images are pretty done in the same straightforward post-process.

Thanks for your comments and input. You are absolutely right about the flare on the bottom right corner. I did notice that when I process the image and did consider to clone it off in PS but was afraid that I might ruin the dark tone around this area. Give me some time and I'll show you the revised version. Thanks again for viewing.
