The church on the island, behind the trees, is part of the Unesco

World Heritage program. It was being built in 1763-1764. The sunset

and the reflection over the lake captured my attention. Do you wish to

This is good. I wish there was more color here, especially in the green on the island. The composition is a little too centered, but it does not really hurt the image. This would look nice as a sepia duo tone image. I would also do some work with what appears to be a grave yard too. This is ag reat location and a wonderful shot. If you have easy access to this location, I would try for a bolder sky (colorwise) and offcenter it to the right third. Nice.

Exposition is ok for me, especially when viewed larger there is enough shadow detail. Dodging there and burning the sky would look unnatural. Agree on the centered composition issue, maybe a crop at the left would not hurt, or a redo with a pan to the right. Very clear reflections, convey a feeling of calmness and peace.

Thank you for your comments. The center weighed composition annoys me also, but when I followed the clouds on the above and on the reflection I hesitated to do anything. Then I actually tried cropping this one from both sides, first on the left and then on the right. Somehow it ended so unbalanced that I decided to keep it as it is.

Ryan, Unfortunately this site is quite far away from my hometown. I had a supportive course in youth work in a town near this site. I drove to this site after the lessons in the course had ended. I started shooting photos from this particular position at about half past eleven pm. This was shot at about ten minutes to midnight. :-) The Finnish nights are pretty much filled with light during summertime. (The sun rose again at about 4 am.)
