There was some photoshop work, please tell me if its blatently

obvious (the original is in my portfolio).

Nice shot of a gorgeous aircraft. I like the warm colors and dark, overall tone.

 

The cloning work under the belly is a little obvious if you look for it. I do not think most web viewers would see it but I'd suspect you would notice it on a print.

 

I'd try cloning out everything under the belly, using the pen tool to make a precise selection and cloning from the sky. Your vantage point is low enough to get away with no visible horizon.

I also agree, cloning shows promise but not perfect. Definitely a good instinct to retouch that, though.

 

I like this picture much better than your Mustang picture from the similar angle. Partly because of the warmer lightning, no distracting highlight, and better tonal separation between aircraft and background. But even more, I think because in this picture you are working with the distinctive shape of the airplane, and not against or around it. I don't have to ask what you're drawing attention to here: this pic does a great job of showing off the cranked wing and the unusual angle where it meets the fuselage. The Mustang composition could be achieved with most any low wing aircraft, but only with a Corsair can you take this picture. The judges on the Japanese "Iron Chefs" cooking show would say that this picture "better articulates the theme ingredient."

 

thank you all very much for the comments and suggestions. It should be noted however that i dont have photoshop and use canon's program, digi photo pro to edit the pictures, using the stamp tool. However, i assume that its a similar process, and i'll also toy around with acro soft 5 too, and see what tools it has; i havent messed with it much.
