Who knows what waits for you on the 9th Floor? Taken with the available light in the lift and a steady hand!

Feedback appreciated.

Should there be anyone looking for my more daring work, you can always do a search for me on photopoints or photosig where I have uploaded some new images along with some of my deleted images. I am sure to be uploading more soon.

Linda, I like this image myself. It looks even better in print. Thanks a lot!

John, I know it must be hard for you to believe but she did, indeed, get into the lift with me alone..... only once mind you!

Edwin, Aye! Indeed!

I like this a great deal. It is very different for you but there are times that departures work. Composition is excellent and the facial capture is great. Robert Frank comes to mind.

Owen, I am pleased you like this. I am not sure what 'different' for me is actually as I don't think I have any discernable style. This is something I have said before. Suffice to say, I do like to take many different styles of photos. Maybe I should try to upload more.

P.S. I will try to get over to photopoints soon.

I like this one a lot. It's subtle. I was recently reading a book on composition and the subject of visual balance was being discussed. I think the interesting part here is the hard edges and technical gadgetry of a modern lift to the upper right is more than balanced by the tough (distrusting?) look to the lower left. And I'm not sure what the streaks are on the stainless steel behind her - but they give the image a sense of horizontal motion (with her head turned away from them as if she moved) - which is sort of incongruous when you think of the normal motion of an elevator. Fun image to decompose.

Jim, I would have to agree with you. You should see the print!

Beepy, It was very interesting to read your comment. Knowing that you studied the image so much is quite flattering. The streaks on the stainless steel are simply reflections of the various light sources, namely the numerical indicator and the reflection from the OTIS name plate.

Thanks to you both.
