cherlyn 1 Posted May 13, 2006 Another IR taken on the same day of the same park. This is of a different colour tone & there is a light breeze blowing at the trees. Couldn't seem to get the different beautiful tones that I see in other's IR images. Maybe my white balance is wrong. Your valuable feedback & guidance is most appreciated. Link to comment

paula grenside 0 Posted May 13, 2006 At first I thought it was a snowy landscape made IR. The foreground is fine. The top is a bit blurred and so part of the details is lost. Love the color you chose for this IR. Link to comment
fabiangraham 0 Posted May 13, 2006 great color....very trippy. ever seen the movie "hero".....? 7 & 6/7 Link to comment
alexandra rauh 0 Posted May 13, 2006 Cherlyn,Here the tall trees are giving the beauty and the bridge gives the stability, also dreamy. Very good picture Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted May 14, 2006 Cherlyn, I don't connect to te tone, because it is bizarre , and very unnatural for my taste( and it is only me...)The composition is good even I agree with what Paula said about the blur. I have changed it to Sepia, and played with it, I hope you will like it. We learn from each other all the time. Pnina Link to comment
bhandari1951 0 Posted May 14, 2006 an EXCELLENT IR shot, very pleasing colour tones...congrats Cherlyn. rabinder Link to comment
daily_photograph 0 Posted May 14, 2006 Next shot you should wait for the end of the storm? (Keep the selected frame!) Link to comment
manuelbalea 0 Posted May 14, 2006 Good creativity Cherlyn. The employment of the color transforms the scene into a painting. Regards Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted May 15, 2006 Sepia never cross my mind, yet after looking at your version, it is nice. Next time I'll explore more channels. And I do agree that we all learn from each other for improvement. Thanks! Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted May 15, 2006 Cherlyn, the original tone and blurred trees are not appealing to me. I am for sepia or some other natural tone, which we see in the Nature. Nevertheless, this is a very good image.I like the composition, light and frame. Link to comment
jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted May 15, 2006 Wonderful tones and composition, my only critques is the frame does not flow with the picture well IMO, but the picture is great! Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted May 15, 2006 Ethereal shot and colours in a Japanese sakura kind of way. The colours are interesting although the palette is unusual. I think I prefer Pnina's conversion though I do like both. This looks like fun btw. Link to comment
shuki22 0 Posted May 15, 2006 Its a dream park,wonderful colors,well done Cherlyn,best regards Shuki Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted May 15, 2006 Cherlyn, I like this image, but the color does seem a bit strong...Have you tried just decreasing the saturation? Link to comment
giovannis 0 Posted May 15, 2006 What I like most in this photo is the colour. Not so strong, well chosen - just my 2 cents. cheers Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted May 16, 2006 ok, it is not the softer typical IR-colour, but maybe that lots of mouvement in the trees needs a stronger tone. So I would leave it like that. Link to comment
bogdan_dumitru 0 Posted May 17, 2006 I've been away from PN for one month and I waited anxiously to see what the gifted photographers around have come with meanwhile. Lovely shot, Cherlyn. The color stands out and makes for a dreamy atmosphere. Lovely fence line, well placed. I like the lack of sharpness in the trees, the dream would've been ruined by a tack sharp shot. Great combination of white and purple. A purple-ish dream... I took a few photos while I was away and a couple of them are in my most recent submissions folder. Shall you have the time, I'm anxious as always to know what you think by your ratings and words, if you have a second. Looking forward to your next shots, --Bogdan Link to comment
