oswegophoto 1 Posted May 12, 2006 Taken around sunset, but before the sky darkened very much, this really surprised me with its, well, blue-ness. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 13, 2006 SO blue! I see where the name "lapis lazuli" came from, Don. It's sure nice to see what I could do with my own camera, and the moon tonite - well, you sure got it! The song, though - I'm always gonna associate it with that flick "American Werewolf in London"... Link to comment

oswegophoto 1 Posted May 18, 2006 Laurent, unbluelievable? Merci!Lee, since I was a young man when that film came out, I remember Jenny Agutter. ;-) As far as the song, my favorite memory is of my Mom buying me a 45 of the Marcels' doo-wop version, thinking it'd be like the Mills Brothers'. She didn't "get" the Marcels. And thank y'kindly!Vi, danke, from one captive lunatic to another.Richard, danke sehr. Some of my favorite photos of the moon were taken during daytime, but I hadn't tried it myself. Next: one with something else in the picture, too ... Link to comment

oswegophoto 1 Posted July 17, 2006 Vi, thanks again. Yeah, I'm one of those folks who can't ever look up just one word in the dictionary. Sometimes it gets me in trouble, so it's nice to be appreciated. Pnina , thank you, but no earthly skill is involved, only heavenly. See here for another daytime moon, if you want confirmation (or just want to see a cool photo).Renny, thanks! Clear skies aren't too frequent here ('course, I like clouds). Jack , thank you, sir. Since we're blessed with a giant moon, it's appropriate to be appreciative. Link to comment
