A play with mix lighting.

Alec, You should have put the camera on a tripod and set the self timer. Then you could have jumped up on the table beside the girl and started dancing with her.

 

On second thoughts maybe your idea is best.

 

I do like this a lot. My eye is drawn to the ashtray which, although I find annoying, (that's my problem, not yours) actually adds mood to the image.

The setting is more of "wild West",rather than Singapore. Very good composition and 'lime'light.

Greg, that's to highlight the ambience. If it is a portrait then I agree with you but in this case it's to feature the different mood lights thus a sharper resolution is necessary.

It's the video camera at top right that bugs me, not the ashtray. I like the surroundings, especially the painted background. The table doesn't actually look big or sturdy enough to do any dancing on.

FUN! I love the shot. I feel like the shot w/ Bilal is a commercial shot??? Good work. Such a different shot for you...I thought it was a stripper from the thumbnail..I couldn't beleive it!

 

BTW- Will you guys take me there when I come visit??? Singapore is high on my list.
