lax368 0 Posted May 11, 2006 I like this black and white. It almost looks like an abstract and because of this, has me constantly examining it. Nice eye on this one. Link to comment
blowingsky 0 Posted May 11, 2006 Thanks Kevin. I took this shot two days ago as a possible book illustration. For the book, however, I might have to go to a high contrast, which is a different effect entirely. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 12, 2006 Did not notice the corvid at first... I was struck by the untidiness of nature against the clean lines of those Bauhaus inspired boxes people assemble to work in. Link to comment
lax368 0 Posted May 14, 2006 I like the original because of its soft complexity. You really lose a lot with the high contrast. It is too bad the publisher can't use that one, but I'm sure you know how it is. Again, great exposure. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 15, 2006 Peter, I really like this image! There's a lot going on but not so much that the eye can't wander freely to discover the subtle surpises. The graphic, static, and organic qualities are combined nicely. I think I might prefer a version in between the original and the high contrast version. Perhaps just a hint more contrast in the original. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 15, 2006 I think the original is just fine. Higher contrast would just kill it. C. Link to comment
meli d 0 Posted May 17, 2006 I like the title, for then the photo appeals to me, not so sure if it would on its own. I like the contrast, as an example, here. Link to comment
edswinden 0 Posted May 23, 2006 I love the high contrast version...but then I do tend to go for extremes in images... Link to comment
david_long17 0 Posted May 25, 2006 Question: Why did the crow fly onto that branch at that very moment in time? Answer: To be in the picture. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 14, 2006 Excellent. The high contrast image is superb. A beautiful and mysterious image. And as an aficionado of appropriate titles, let me say this one is perfect. Link to comment
