So... I was sitting here, feeling too cold and sick. I've caught a

cold, so it's not very pleasant to just sit at home all day long. I

started to look through some old photos and remembering those sweet

old times :) . I suddenly found a picture of my first Barbie doll. I

was about 7 when I got it, but the thing is, my mother just couldn't

afford it at the time, so all my relatives decided to buy it for my

birthday. That was terrific.

Sooo... I suddenly remembered how I had dreamt about the doll and

how I wanted to be like her, well, you see the result above.

The face is mine, by the way, only very manipulated :) .

Thank you as always!

Really nice artwork, also very interesting for what it is expressed.

But -I'm sorry- not at all a photograph. Otherwise, we should call Dali a photographer.

Not quite sure it belongs here in this photo forum, nontheless its nicely done. I feel a bit threatened by your ability to manipulate the original image(s) and turn it into something created by your imagination.

I find it funny and disturbing and innocent all at once. An amazing, deeply human image. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing, Katja. You always make me feel that some people are truly talented. Superb story! Amazing colors, amazing expression in the doll's eyes, she seems to want desperately "to be like her". Superb framing, superb "vignetting" on the edges. 7/7... can't give less. Bravo!

I've been away from PN for one month and I couldn't wait to see what the gifted photographers around have come with meanwhile.

I took a few photos while I was away and a couple of them are in my most recent submissions folder. Shall you have the time, I'm anxious as always to know what you think by your ratings and words, if you have a second.
