Guest Guest Posted May 10, 2006 Nice to see you're back and posting again, David. (Now it's my turn to be quite busy in off-line life.) Lovely bands of light and shadow here, along with what I'm tempted to call your signature use of the wide angle to make the clouds feel low. Link to comment
julio_segura_carmona1 4 Posted May 10, 2006 Un bello encuadre, de luz, color y belleza, gran composicion, el perfecto cielo, y las nubes magnificas. un cordial saludo David. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted May 10, 2006 At the very first sight I seemed to lack a point of interest...then I found it. To me is the shadow of the clouds in the valley. After all, we have many stately elements (the ridge to the R, the mountain in the back, the clouds themselves) around this shot, and the most variable part of the landscape, the shadow, makes for an original subject. carsten_ranke 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Nice play of light and shadow on the ground. The clouds forms are echoed on land, the composition feels well balanced. Is this a longer exposure with tripod, and already some motion blur in the clouds ? Cheers Carsten Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 10, 2006 David,I think it is an interesting constructed composition. The brown slope is "framed" by a black ridge, the triangled grey clouds are "framed"in white.... I like the color nuance of the ground, and I think it is a nicely ballanced composition. Link to comment
minicucci 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Where's the beef, er...mud? Just kidding. Lovely image, David. I do so enjoy the utter expansiveness of it, which is the product of your framing. Interesting array of lines, as well. And the delicate greens that are so much the signature of spring. A quietly glorious image, I think. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted May 14, 2006 I like the subtle yellow tones of the flowers and the silver leaves of bushes probably bent by the wind (?). The mountain ridges form leading lines to the cloud shadow in the center. On the large version I can discern a river or lake on the plains leading to the distant mountains. Nice work. Best wishes, Peter Link to comment
maria 7 Posted May 16, 2006 I like the 'lines' (ie curves) in this most. In the landscape planning class with used to calle them 'tension lines' - the clouds seem to be placed perfectly to highlight the hills, which is actually perfect timing. ciaoMaria Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted May 20, 2006 Thank you all for you generous comments. Carsten this is not a particularly long exposure, the clouds are moving at a clip in rather brisk winds. 1/25 @ F13 Link to comment
