Taken in the lab by available light, most probably with an M2 & 35 or 50mm lens.

Your instructor seemed to have an air of the old school colonial school boy.

Is the pair of penguins supposed to echo the 2 guys in the front? :)

Arthur, Well, at least they aren't a pair of turkeys:-) Penguins, in their 'tuxes', seem more appropriate, don't you think. Best, LM.

A post from my folder "Leica School, Nov., 1963. (there are about 40

more taken while attending a 3 day course at the Leica School,

Wetzlar). Taken with a Leica M2, 50mm lens, & Agfa IFF film (100

ISO?) by window light. To my knowledge the 'school' is no longer

run. Best, LM.

Antonio, "....like HBC.....". At the time I took this in 1963 I'd never heard of him. In fact, this was my intro into 35mm photography. To be compared to him is very flattering, but really, .........it's just the B&W and the period fashions. :-) The penguins were icing on the cake; a stroke of luck. Thanks for your views. Best, LM.

I agree portrait and people captures look best in b&w.

As this one does forever freezing this moment in time, nice work.

Dennis, Nice of you to stop by & take the time to dig this one out of my archives. I don't think I fully appreciated the experience when I was there but it seems to take on more significance with time; now approaching 45 years. Best, LM.
