Another from my folder "Leica School, Nov., 1963" One of a series

of shots taken during a Leica sponsored afternoon walkabout in

Wetzlar 43 years ago. Seen through the eyes of a newby (at the

time) with a loaner Leica and a couple of hours of instruction at

the Leica School. Your thoughts\comments will be gratefully

received. Best, LM.

Unbelievable that it was taken so many years ago, it is a very good image. It has 3 layers of well composed B/W nuances. The strong black dog,the old woman on the bench partly hidden by the branches( second layer) ,but her posture toward the dog is well expressed , and the shallow DOF that tells about the surrounding. The different direction of lines are very well composing the whole.. my compliments.

Pnina, Thanks for going the extra mile to dig up this old offering of mine. Most of the positive attributes you commented on are a result of pure luck as I was fairly new to photography with this level of equipment. The dog sensed my presence and began barking, thus causing it's owner to turn from peacefully reading her newspaper to chastise it. In spite of my offering it up for critique yours is the only comment on this one since I posted it over a year ago. I thank you for that. Best, LM.

Len, you are welcome, I really like this one, it shows that equipment's level is not the most important thing in a good image...;-))
