Yes I think you're right. It would be better using a very beautiful and fresh strawberry, but I think this one works too. it is good enough for my photo. Perhaps I try e more fresh one in another photo.

Sometimes a little imperfectness is reality. I don't mind that this is not a perfect fresh strawberry as I sometimes also capture imperfectness. Good use of DOF & the colours do appear juicy.

Yes, I agree with you. If I take a photo in studio and try to make a beautiful work, it is not correct to use a simple strawberry. I would use a better one and now I'm sad about that. also the composition is exactly like my "persimmons" photo and I know this. this is another mistake of mine. I'll try another one very soon.

At least I give you a lot of credit for getting off your a** and trying this set up! good capture and your white background works fine for me here. You usually have it all white but I think you may have been short of lighting on the back wall.
