hanna_v 0 Posted May 9, 2006 fresh wind! I like the rich in contrast picture and the soft leaves about the well-defined bridge. well done. Link to comment
razvan 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Nice atmosphere and composition, it was interesting to try some color balance or channel mixer in PS.. here some IR picture that I love so much: http://www.pbase.com/allonkira/infrared Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted May 9, 2006 I like the IR effect ... and the soft fuzzy branch at the top is also very interesting. But ... I would say that the aforementioned branch (the fuzzy one in the top third) is a little bit over powering. The bridge should be the focus of the image ... and the fuzzy branch is a bit too close to the camera to give such prominence to. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted May 9, 2006 It's very effective, great tonal & nice cropping, really pleasing to the eyes, well execution, Cherlyn!!! Best regards. Link to comment

ada-ipenburg 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Your first try with IR Cherlyn? Well, you have succeeded. I love it. Though I think that also a 'regular' picture of this spot would be very nice because of it's atmosphere; that nice bridge surrounded by the exotic trees. Wonderful, fairy-like mood. Well done, Cherlyn! Greetings Ada:-) Link to comment
mohsens 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Very nice. I think that tree on top-right would be better not there. Yet good work. Link to comment
patricia_hall 0 Posted May 10, 2006 You got a pristine tableau here, looks like a gifted IR photographer! Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted May 10, 2006 I have no experience in IR and I like this picture but I find the 'fuzzy tree' at the top looks messy and is a distraction. Did you shoot in IR or did you do a PS conversion to 'IR'? Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted May 10, 2006 Kit Yoong, I shoot with a IR filter, not PS conversion. Didn't notice the top fuzzy tree as a distraction until many mention about it. I'll go back & do a crop. I think cropped version will look better too. Thanks all for the thinker & suggestion. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted May 10, 2006 I like it, very well achieved and although I as Kit have no experience in I R, I love this one. The tree in F G does not bother me that much. Infact to it helps frame the whole. Great shot. Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted May 10, 2006 Great range of tones, Cherlyn :) Well done, although I've never tried IR myself either!Best regards from Kenya,Mark :] Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted May 10, 2006 Your debut expermiment is successful. I think you better crop a bit from top to eleminate distraction. Very good tonal effect. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted May 10, 2006 Well done. I might crop the top also. Do you have other shots from that day? I love this IR.... Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted May 10, 2006 Cropped version better? Umm, personally I think so. Yes Sarah, I do have some more from that day but have not select another nice one yet :-) Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Cherlyn, I like this one for its balanced tonality -- an important element when doing work in IR. The cropped version improves the composition for me. Link to comment
