Bridge in the Park (IR)

My first try at IR, therefore your guidance are most appreciated

fresh wind! I like the rich in contrast picture and the soft leaves about the well-defined bridge. well done.

Nice atmosphere and composition, it was interesting to try some color balance or channel mixer in PS.. here some IR picture that I love so much:

I like the IR effect ... and the soft fuzzy branch at the top is also very interesting. But ... I would say that the aforementioned branch (the fuzzy one in the top third) is a little bit over powering. The bridge should be the focus of the image ... and the fuzzy branch is a bit too close to the camera to give such prominence to.

I have no experience in IR and I like this picture but I find the 'fuzzy tree' at the top looks messy and is a distraction. Did you shoot in IR or did you do a PS conversion to 'IR'?

Kit Yoong, I shoot with a IR filter, not PS conversion. Didn't notice the top fuzzy tree as a distraction until many mention about it. I'll go back & do a crop. I think cropped version will look better too.

I like it, very well achieved and although I as Kit have no experience in I R, I love this one. The tree in F G does not bother me that much. Infact to it helps frame the whole.

Your debut expermiment is successful. I think you better crop a bit from top to eleminate distraction. Very good tonal effect.

Cherlyn, I like this one for its balanced tonality -- an important element when doing work in IR. The cropped version improves the composition for me.
