Poplar Tulip, I think. Amazing to see these in the trees this time of year. Beautiful stuff:)

Hey ... did you see Donna Albers' latest? Is it the same kind of flower? I'm so bad at recognizing that kind of thing....

I really like it. The leaf in the bottom right adds just enough of a dark color to balance out the entire image. And I love that the petals are curling in.

Mehmet- Thanks:)

Lou Ann- In B&W they look very similar. In color, mine is yellow with an orange accent & center, Donna's Magnolia is about 4 times the size & a creamy white. It's so funny, we've had this Poplar tree in our front yard for the past 15 years, it's never bloomed that I've noticed. This year, for some strange reason, it's blooming :) Maybe it's finally mature enough. I will say it has grown 30 feet in the last 10 years alone. It was just a baby when we bought our house, now... it's a full grown tree. Huge leaves, beautiful in the summer, beautiful color in the fall, but a real pain to rake when they fall:)

VIP- Thanks, they are so interesting :)

Marc- Thanks. It's kind of ugly, but it was really interesting to see them all over this tree.
