Clouds over Norton

This is a nice piece of rolling English landscape and the colour and contrast are held well from the foreground to the middle distance. There is a nice bit of atmospheric recession emphasising the most distant area. Compositionally, putting the horizon in the middle will work if there is some kind of balance between sky and land. In this case I don't think it works because the large dark cloud is too dominant and doesn't echo anything in the lower half of the picture.

So overall it's pleasant but not totally cohesive.

I love the play of light and shadow, and the flow of lines in sky and land. Very nice colors, superb detail.
