pnital 36 Posted May 8, 2006 Bent, I like your still life, that set up is very nice, color range as well, the only thing I'm not sure about is the light of the candle which is very prominent and compet for attention ( the candle itself fits the composiion I mean only the light). I hope it helps. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Your granddaughter, right? Is it her birthday coming up? I love the soft tones ... sort of sepia. I like it as it is ... but if you're looking for nit-picks, my only one would be that the tones have more of a yellowish cast on the left, and no yellow feel on the right. But that might be the effects of the light of the candle. Are you going to mat & frame it for her? Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Hi Bente, A very personal still life. . . I like the combination of the portrait with items which reflect your warm feelings toward her. . . the lighting provided by the candle works beautifully but I would be tempted, as Pnina suggested, to make the the flame less prominent by lowering the contrast of the flame itself in PS while retaining the original lighting in the rest of the image. . . sarahunderhill 1 Posted May 10, 2006 Very nice. I don't know about the candle either. You could really play with this one. Good idea. Link to comment
banksshots 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Love the tones and the 3-dimensionality, especially in the picture on the desk. Was that origonally part of the picture, or was that added? The overall effect is highly original and mind-bogglingly inspirational. You have a great talent. Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted July 14, 2007 Beautiful tonality in this. I did a similar composition with a picture of my mother some time ago. Link to comment
