lax368 0 Posted May 7, 2006 I like the sky in this one, but I feel the foreground is a little to dark. In my opinion the dark areas are a bit too complex to be silhouetted the way they are. This is a cool shot though, the balance between the orange sunset and the remaining blue sky is something that is not seen in a lot of images. Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted May 7, 2006 Thanks Kevin. Yeah, that dark foreground has plagued me in a few shots, but im now trying not to make those same mistakes... Link to comment
emjordan 0 Posted October 15, 2006 How did I miss this shot in your portfolio before this? Are you going to try more sunrises and sunsets now that you have been shooting a while? I like the dark foreground. Perhaps cropping the bottom just below the point where the sun reflection is on the water. But otherwise, leave it alone. elisabeth ;) Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted October 16, 2006 Thanks. Again, cropping sounds like a good idea :) . If i look, i actually have plenty of sunrise/set shots somewhere in my computer. Its a shame i missed 2 opportunities this passed weekend by not having my camera. Imagine a lot of sailboat masts sihloetted up against a setting sun, at the beach. Oh well, there's always the next regatta, perhaps i'll improve my placing too. Link to comment
