Ah, I've seen this mill many times. I like the rendition you have created here. The IR gives the typical dreamy feel, which in this case works well with the subject. The shadows on the right side balance the dark tree on the left and create a sense of framing, which works well here. There is enough detail to separate the boards on the mill and the bridge, and we can clearly see detail in the mill wheel.

I like your composition as well as your point of view. The main subject fills the frame without cutting out the surrounding area, while the background does not overwhelm the subject. This is a very nice image. You should be proud to have created it. Nicely done!

The leading lines, placement of the building is very good. The photo has just the right feeling to it as well.Even the selective focus works. Thanks for sharing the photo.

The perspective in this image, combined with the dreamy atmosphere caused by the infrared and focus, almost make me think I am looking inside a 19 century "cardboard" box with an artificial landscape. I love it...

Contrary to many infrared pictures, the effect here is so subtle, that the image is not really perceived as being IR. Great, thanks for sharing.

Hey Carol, This is really good.....This has a little different look, so I'm thinking that your 717 has the filter removed, or have you did some PC work on it, I'm just curious. It doesn't really matter, it is one heck of a good piece of work......Jim

I agree with comments above on the point of view. I like the leading lines taking my eyes to the dark doorway. The water wheel roundness somehow balances the strong lines of the other elements in the image. And the tones are wonderful.

Although I'm living at a large distance, in France, I don't think Tennessee is in Canada, as written in the detailsof this photo
