robertbrown 1 Posted May 4, 2006 Walter, you are up way too late, and must be drinking scotch, like I am. Thanks for stopping by! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 4, 2006 Bob, I love the light and delicacy of this image but I'm finding the composition a bit chaotic. I think what's bothering me the most is the where the yellow/green thingy is touching the top of the frame. My eye keeps going there. Of course, I'm viewing this without the benefit of Scotch induced visual wisdom. Link to comment
nirakara 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Mr. Brown, when I was viewing the other image, I was thinking, something high key like this with a closer view would also be great, and there you had it! This one!I am attracted to the gauzy transluscent area and again the delicate nature of this, but I am not too sure about the composition. not biased, thought about it before I saw the above comment :-) I don't see a strong subject here. I feel that is more important here compared to the previous one. IMO, It is placed well horizontally but bringing the stem more lower, i.e. including more to the top would help. Finding an area where the background to the right to be more like how it is on the left would also make it better if you get a chance to shoot again. If you can spare a few minutes, I would appreciate it if you could please give me your thoughts/opinion on this photo, since I find you to be so accomplished in that kind of images. It is a digital sandwich of one with motion blur (thru camera) with another 'static' image, with some layer blending changes and several other modifications. I guess there isn't really a right or wrong in that, but since I am a newbie and it is my first experiment of that kind I would really appreciate an expert-opinion. If I can get Ms. LM-E's critique that would be two expert-opinions ;-) Link to comment
