kslonaker 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Almost an abstract look to this, with the background closely matching the dragonfly's colors. Nice detail, too. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Kim, I should have pointed out that the wings appear to resemble the background because they are partially transparent and serve as a protective camouflage mechanism . . . Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 4, 2006 Donna, it looks nearly like a fossil on the rock...nice rendition to that dragonfly. Link to comment
atoscano 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Muy bella la composicion, pero le veo un exceso de luz en el cuerpo de la libelula. Un cordial saludo. Link to comment

donnaalbers 0 Posted May 5, 2006 Thanks everyone for stopping by to comment. . . I was quite fascinated by this dragonfly since I had never seen one like it before. . originally I saw him fly over a pond covered with tiny white flowers which made for the perfect camouflage setting . . . fortunately, for me, he kept landing on the rocks beside the water . .
