pjmeade 12 Posted May 2, 2006 This is a re post of a previous image. I wanted to see if rotating the image, and changing the saturation and sharpness made for an improvement in the overall picture quality. What do you think? Link to comment
markh1 0 Posted May 2, 2006 The Image has a fabulous impact, it's just a shame that the glass is so visible. I like it just the same........you've inspired me to upload my own teeth photo, check it out. Link to comment
marcofrancardi 0 Posted May 2, 2006 stop doing this to me! I got scared!! ;-) By the way, was it yawning or roarring? great timing. It really looks mean! Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted May 2, 2006 Thanks for looking. Mark, there is a hint of fence in the background but this was shot at f4, all you can see there is very heavy rain. I looked for a tiger, all I saw was a nosey cow, a squirrel and a goat. Good though. It was a yawn. I love tigers and I was so pleased this one was in one place long enough to be seen. It's a pity their only thought is what we taste like. P Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 2, 2006 I think I actually like the tilt better in retrospect, but with this saturation and sharpness. Are the foreground streaks also water, they look uncanily like flare - damn the weather! Link to comment
rosi 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Peter, You have some absolutely wonderful photos but this, to me, isn't one of them. I see a tiger in a zoo. The rain (if that's what it is) adds nothing. And the patterns on the face completely obscure the eyes, which are essential to show ferocity and power. As I said, you have some astonishingly beautiful nature images, but this isn't worthy of being on your page. Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted May 3, 2006 Thanks for adding your comment, I appreciate what you have to say. In the UK, if we want to see a big preditor we have to go to a zoo. I like this shot, because it's one of very few occasions I've seen a tiger in a remotely interesting pose. As for the rain, we shoot in the conditions we get. I'm very pleased you liked some of the other work. Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
markh1 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Mine was a lighthearted comment, when I said I'd upload my own version of 'teeth' it's the goat called Madonna, for obviuous reasons really. I do have a photo of a tiger in it's own habitat which I'll try to scan and upload. it doesn't have the same menacing look as yours though. Regards mark Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted May 4, 2006 Sorry, I only looked at the thumbnail. I was bitten by a goat once. Those teeth work, the little monsters. P Link to comment
