eyeballkid1 0 Posted May 2, 2006 One way or another it reminds me of a famous picture of Tom Waits by Anton Corbijn. It's quite different, but there is a link... And Anton Corbijn is quite some reference. I like it a lot Link to comment
jstyles 0 Posted May 2, 2006 I haven't decided about the teddy bear, but of the people I think only the ipod guy has been riding all day - the others haven't quite reached that zombie state and don't have a protuberance coming out of their foreheads suctioning them to the train walls. I'd say he's gotten the real deal. Link to comment
blowingsky 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Julie, it's a time-lapsed picture. It is all the same dude over three stations stops. It was the first shape-changer I ever met while I actually had a camera and film in it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2006 Just proves what you can get if you are willing to watch and wait, eh? He reminds me of Todd Spango from "mom and dad save the world"...Love to imagine what he's listening to - "symphony of the planets", perhaps? Link to comment
peta 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Do bears ride free? I don't want to bring mine if I have to pay. :) Link to comment
blowingsky 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Lee, I leaned in close to hear what he was listening to and caught these lyrics: "Did he ever return, No he never returned And his fate is still unlearn'd He may ride forever 'neath the streets of Boston He's the man who never returned." Peta, Bears ride bicycles, not subways, so the subject of fare has no legal precedent but who is going to heartlessly toss a button nosed teddy bear off the train? Or an Alaskan Grizzly for that matter? Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 4, 2006 Well, I thought of all sorts of insightful remarks to post about this photo but after reading the comments, I'm left with nothing but a big smile before I head off to sleep. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 6, 2006 I like it. It's the real deal. Nice framing, nice tones, nice grain, nice themes, nice bear. Mass transit trains sure are a great place to shoot, eh? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 24, 2006 Interesting constructed composition Peter, well cropped. Cool with the bear and title... Link to comment
