"Life is an Open Road" - Playing with images of my new Sportser. Learning to ride at my age is not only frustrating, it's dangerous. I don't recommend it for the faint of heart :) But........ life is full of surprises & I feel to not do something because of "fear" is failure. I am not a risk taker, but sometimes you just have to do something that's out of the ordinary for you. This is my out of the ordinary :)

I have found that it scares the hell out of me, but....I have the desire to ride. I've dropped it, I've run over "road" hazards, I've practiced slow riding, swerves, dips, circles, shifting gears & the most important, stopping!

It's feels just like flying :)

Hi again Jayme :)

The 75-300 USM IS? That's the lens I'm aspiring to buy. Gotta scrimp and save like crazy though!

About this shot, I like it best out of all your bike pics so far. Great use of the 8-point filter. And the toning's brilliant. I must also say, I'd love to know what font you use for the frame matte. It's really classy :)

Nicely done, yet again!

Best regards from Kenya,

Mark :]

Sorry, Mark - I'll have to say that I like the more abstract images and the engine images better. But that's just my taste. :-)

Jayme - you said "sportster" ... that's a Harley, chopper-type, right? Did you bring this into your studio to get a shot like this? Because if you tell me that the plain background is your garage I'll tell you that it's nuts to be so neat!! ;-)

Thanks Mark & Lou Ann

Lou Ann- I'm sorry to say that "Yes" this is our garage. While it looks really clean, it's really not :) The sun was setting brightly in the West, hitting the bike & the wall. It worked out well :) Our garage is a little strange. It has 4 doors, 2 on the front & 2 on the back which lead to a patio. All 4 openings are arched. It originally was an open carport. We converted it years ago to a garage. So the inside walls are finished.

Mark- I enhanced 2 of the stars, but the one on the engine guard is as the image was taken. I couldn't resist. I really like the 70-300mm IS lens. It's a little soft, but that's perfectly OK with me. I've taken some pretty neat portraits of the kids with it. I can capture them without being really close & it throws the background out of focus really nicely. Worth saving for:)The font is "Scriptina" My favorite font :)

This is my favorite of the last bunch. Nice lighting and excellent detail. Have fun, but be safe!

This might be my fav from this series too. I like the caption and the white background, it makes me think of free open space with a road heading down an endless horizon.

Mark- sometimes you just go with what you got :) I've been pretty short on time lately & I'm beginning to feel my garage is far cleaner than my house :)

Thank you Amar. That was the "feeling" I was going for :)

Thanks Jason, it was a nice evening light. I did adjust the white balance to offset the reddish light :)
