Guest Guest Posted May 1, 2006 A fine abstract with much detail to study. It seems to me that you are gradually putting together a series of these industrial abstracts shot in very harsh light. The style works well, particularly when several of them are viewed together. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 1, 2006 he he, Howard, nice title to a very unusual ellements, nice diagonal form. Pnina Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Cool, Howard. Is this the same one we saw in the red w/ blue? I still love all of the "busy" on the one side and the more simple lines & shapes on the other. I also like this crop better ... the balance works better for my eye. Nice choice for B&W. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Yes, Lou Ann. It is the same subject but a different shot. I like this better myself. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted May 2, 2006 I have to ask, What is this? It looks very well thought out in it's placement & industrial. What's it used for? Is this white paint on the high lighted areas? Very interesting subject :) Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Jayme, it's the back of a tractor trailer flatbed and was painted a bright light blue color, which shows in white in this image. Link to comment
kleintje 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Howard, most people would have walked right passed this without even noticing it, but you turned it into a beautiful, sort of abstract image. Though I like the b&w and the composition, I can't help but miss the hook in the bottom right... Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted May 5, 2006 Surreal image or modern art? Very good composition, concept and tone,Howard. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted May 6, 2006 Wow, a real 'locked place'. Nice composition, a lot going on here, lots of shapes, shadows. Great find. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted May 7, 2006 Indeed an interesting shot, well locked for sure. Definitely an original captured and well presented. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 15, 2006 super cool Howard. Did you arrange them or find this as is? Really like how the paint is showing white in this shot. From the thumbnail I thought it was lots and lots of locks but hooks and chains are even better. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 16, 2006 dont'cha just love it when you find things like that. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 9, 2006 Howard, I just started paging through your b&w folder and this one really appealed to me. It's very graphic and love the tonal range here! Link to comment
