Simple Lighting Experiment

One 60W bulb held above. Unmanipulated except for the tiny

signature in the corner. No reflectors or fill flash. I do not own

fancy studio lighting except my desk lamp. If you give this a low

rating please tell me why. Thank you.

No question to rate it lower. Simply great my dear friend. Nice tone and Depth. Great detailing. Just wish to have a litle extra space in the upper. Nonetheless, its very good take.

Julius - the lighting is in fact quite nice.

Two comments I would make would be

leave some space at the top - you cut off the top leaf and

I think it's a bit soft - could be sharper.

I was in an odd spot...because of my 100mm macor lens if I pulled back the tripod a half foot then you would be able to see the edge of the desk. For the sharpness issue: either my eye sight is slightly off through the lens (I do wear glasses for driving at night) or the Autofocus is off (maybe I bumped the barrel when i switched from autofocus to manual focus)

Sharpness - just some USM in PS?

see the thing is...I am lost in the world of Photoshop so I do not know the tips and tricks to make a simple photograph look surreal. That and I do not know how to preform simple surgery on an image like you have.
