nice composition, and works well in black and white. however it could have benifited from a greater aspect of contrast

The off-vertical composition and your leaning pose makes this a very dynamic image. It leads to a lot of mystery and a desire to see more. Well done.

A very unusual self-portrait, it seems the camera is seeing you in a detached way - subjective to itself but objective of you ... yet it was you who took the photograph!

 

It gives the impression of someone half-asleep or drunk trying to find their way to the bathroom and suddenly coming across this strange enigmatic figure blocking their way. What is she doing there? Is she coming or going? Do I know her? What is she expecting me to do? Is she real or am I just imagining her?

 

Maybe it should be interpreted as a statement of how little we all know of our true selves.

I wonder, how did you take the photo... Where was the camera, if not a secret? Did you use a tripod?

Like you guessed. the camera was on tripod. I forcused on the door, put on self-timer 1O seconds. Shoot. I tried a few times to get one i like. BTW, i checked out your website. You are a very interesting character Olesya. Have fun learning and making photograph. Warm regards, Tanya.
