Guest Guest Posted April 25, 2006 Love the matching nail polish. She looks sad-perhaps because she's temporarily sidelined. Taking into account the left elbow abrasion, I'm thinking a bike accident? Hopefully no missing teeth to go along with the other injuries. Great shooting angle. I love the lines created by the siding in the background. The cool blue tone helps emphasize the pink cast and is consistent with her mood. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted April 25, 2006 LME, you are up late, lady. She broke her arm by tripping over something on the playground. 7 years of soccer, 3 years of basketball, and six years of softball with no injuries. She broke two bones and is missing the first month of softball and she's not happy about it. Link to comment
jeremy freeland 0 Posted April 25, 2006 Nice, Robert. Like the clear colours, and how the light on the subject is hemmed in by the deeper shadows around the edges of the image, especially the shingles upper right. Makes a very effective atmosphere. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted April 25, 2006 Bob, I like this a lot. A great story-telling shot of yours. The way all colours in the shot are cold and the cast itself seems to be the only cheerful and happy thing is just precious. I think that was a good idea to have a towering and large background in coldish colours above her, to give a bit more of the sidelining and isolation feel the shot wants to convey, as also enhanced by her pose. minicucci 0 Posted April 25, 2006 Robert: Ditto on what everyone has said. A stylish shot, in many ways. Superb use of color and framing. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 29, 2006 Great image! Isn't that the way it goes...all those sports, and she trips on the playground. I like the inclusion of the bruised legs and scraped arm, etc. in this one better than the B&W. Link to comment
