jcg23 0 Posted April 24, 2006 Hi, Thanks for the comments, I was lucky that it was a bright but overcast day so no harsh shadows which i would normally get at this time. It was also helpful that the little girl was so transfixed by the sand that she sat very still but just moving her toes , enabling me to get the focus right with a narrow depth of field. I also had enough time to send my son over to the parent to ask permission to take the shot, so it was quite unusual knowing you had a good moment and having time to get the picture as well. cherlyn 1 Posted April 26, 2006 It's her engrossment with the sand that is captivating. Very good DOF & grayscale tones. Of course good lighting play its part too. Lovely & sweet capture. Link to comment

alberto.prt 0 Posted April 26, 2006 Just a great great image ... ! You got the right moment and framing (and cropping!) ... and the narrow DOF of 5D + 135mm made the rest. Great contrast between the sweater texture and the baby's skin; I also like the hands hidden in the sleeves, it gives more tenderness, if possible. I'd like to have an image like this of my children. The BW choice gives a sense of timeless. Congratulations and regards Alberto Link to comment

skarmach 0 Posted January 23, 2007 I can't truely describe how great i think this photograph is. Simple, yet tells so much. Innocence, solitude - i can let my imagination go to so many directions. I love the sweater sleeves covering her hands [so cute!]. Truely a treat to watch this photograph - thank you. Link to comment
