aepelbacher 0 Posted April 21, 2006 In my previous post, I mentioned that I would be uploading several detail images from the city of Biron. I really loved all of the nuances in the architecture in this place. The decorative work on the tops of the walls in the castle was wonderful, and the colors of the stones used in all of the buildings worked so well together. It was just a gorgeous place ... and I obviously had a gorgeous day. If you haven't looked at the wide image of the entire city, please check out that previous post. As always, any thoughts or comments or ratings that you have for me are greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted April 21, 2006 Biron, France - the first of several images of details from this walled castle city in the countryside of the Dordogne region of Southwest France. If you have time, please check out my wide angled image of the whole city: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=4358461 Thank you for your time, your comments, and your ratings! colin carron 58,916 Posted April 24, 2006 These old places are fascinating! I like how you have got a good sense of depth with all the various bits of building closer to the camera. I have tried to raise a bit more shadow detail and raised the levels on the closer part. Hope you don't mind! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted April 24, 2006 Of course I don't mind! I welcome the suggestion! Thanks for the comment. Colin, have you seen the shot from Colorado (same folder) that I took with my 10-22? I mentioned you in my first comment. Then, Pnina and I chatted about the same lens on one of her recent images and she brought your name up again... :-D Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 25, 2006 Nice angle Lou Ann, because you have succeeded in demonstrating the different textures composing the diferent parts. Colin lighted it a bit which accentuate it even better. I like the sky behind. Yes COLIN... you are a master of 10-22.... Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted April 29, 2006 Not the only one though - not by a long way! Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted April 30, 2006 The solid wall in front creates the impression of solidity. I like the way it takes up a third of the frame... Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted June 29, 2006 I'm in doubt about the level correction of Colin. It takes the interest away from the great tiled roof of the castle, in the background, which is the interest of the photo, IMHO Link to comment
