Great placement of all the visual elements in the frame. Are you sacrificing petals to get the angle of view on the center of the bloom? I love flow of the lighter line moving to the upper left corner. And lastly, this one almost needed to go in the nudes category (or is it just my imagination going places?).

The macros of the sexual organs of plants never cease to delight, but this one is especially good, a wonderful configuration with a great movement, almost and explosion. I concur with Laurie on its eroticism, although that did not strike me immediately. But that may very well be in the eye of the beholder; I know our friend O'Keeffe was not happy that the critics harped on the sexuality of her flower paintings. Too bad she posed for those nude photos for Steichen (Too bad HE exhibited them so freely).

Seems like we may be in New Mexico about the same time this June. I understand you are going to the Ghost Ranch. I'm staying at the Mabel Dodge Luhan place in Taos.
