joe I took this into Ps and ajusted the highlights and the contrast then added a yellow filter what do you think?

nice work Wade, i think it,s what i was looking for.i,am gona try this shot again tomarrow morning, with a polorized filter, try and lose some glare.

this photo was taken with a telaphoto lens, tomarrow it will be a 50mm.

Joe, I agree a polarizer may have helped. I'm not familiar with your camera, but it appears the metering was averaged resulting in the overexposed highlights. Unfortunately, the details in the water are lost and no amount of PS adjustment will get that back. This is a difficult lighting situation not easy to remedy, but aside from a polarizer, going portrait orientation and zooming in a little would probably have forced the camera to meter more for the water and captured more detail there. Given this situation and a good tripod, I would have taken two shots, one metered on the water and another on the darker forground, then merge the two in PS.
