Beautiful sunrise, Mark. IMHO I think I would off-center the dock.

Not sure what decentering the dock would do for this picture, it certainly would not work for this particular perspective since there is quite a bit of empty space . I think that little hook at the end of the dock breaks the symmetry sufficiently to offset any need for decentering.

in my opinion the composition is amazing. The way the pier stops the little waves, on the right side the face of the water is serene, that's beautiful!
