esau_b. 0 Posted April 19, 2006 I think its a pretty good composition but i would suggest a few things. First, the exposure is not right. When you shoot with such a large amount of sky in the background, you have to adjust your cameras exposure setting so as not to lose the details in the foreground, i.e the rocks. Second, always make sure that your horizon is level. Also, there is a red cast over the image. And lastly, i would try to either capture this shot again without the birds, b/c IMO they are a bit distracting. They look more like dust specks on the photo. Having said all of that, i lik ehow youve captured that wave hitting the near rock. Good timing. Link to comment
jana 1 Posted April 29, 2006 This is so wonderful! You caught the perfect moment. I think the birds are just fitting in. Some photographers want to deliver images made to their preconceived perfection. But for me to transfer the feel of the sence of a place - genium Loci - is the most important. In this case the birds make an important part of the mood of this ocean shore. I agree about the horizon, but that can be fixed in software. Your Iceland images are also very emotional. cheers Jana Link to comment
