While the unnaturally dark 'grad' sky works in some images, it does not here. The extreme blacks from the grad+polarizer combo at the top force the eye into the foreground waters and eliminate the symetry that would otherwise accentuate the main subject, the tree. A 1-stop hard grad or 3-stop soft grad would have been better choices IMO. Still a strong image, but could be better.

Marc, thanks for your critique, I'm very happy with it. Something is true in your words. It's true that the black cloud may be a little bit dark, but, I don't know, it is very interesting thing how some images may have better sky light and less attractive. It's possible that I have your desired image (only possible), but you should wait other photos of the serie.

On the other hand, what do you think of the centered horizon?

You waited for the exact perfect light! You placed the horizon line in the middle and so the reflection works just perfectly. Superb, just superb details in the clouds. Amazing colors, I keep looking at it...
