I fully agree with Kelvin more poetic vision of this shot but I guess that what first got me was the characteristics mentioned by Mark. The soft faded colours, the texture and the excellent use of bg. The way you placed the tulips in the frame, with that green textured leafs entering from the bottom-left, makes this shot work in a great way. Congratulations.

This Tulip image conveys warmth like an olde world painting, but without brush strokes. Wonderful capture.
