The Hebrew writing go's from right to left, so the word Exit in Hebrew is written on the left side. The word's direction is compatible to the dancer's exit...

Continuing of the new project with a dance group The idea is to follow with the camera the process of a dance choreography development, and relations between the dancers with each other while in the process.

Thanks for your thoughts, Pnina

Pnina, 1st of all thanks a lot for all your comments in my photoss, I appreciate them a lot. Your work is brilliant and I see your portfolio prety often.

Regarding this pic, I love the composition but I have my doubts about the rendition in photoshop maybe?

I think that maybe in BW this would work better?

I fell like you rendered away the light, too mauch curves?, but please it just my taste and according to my wife I have a strange taste ;-)

Hope I can help and I hope you do not take it in the bad way.

Thanks for your comment! Please, always tell me what you think, that what critique is for. I did not use curves, only converted it to B/W and Sepia.I upload the B/W version, if you see it Please tell me if you think it is better?( I have added some light to the sepia) Thanks again, Pnina

This is a good idea Pnina. I think the exit sign is a definite inclusion, unfortunately if it's not legible the image loses alot of impact. I also think the sepia version is best with the black background as there is some noise evident in the other ones. Maybe you should do an English and a Hebrew version!

Pnina, this wasn't a proposal, I like it as it is! the only point to criticize is the blur, but no idea how to correct it now. but I like your composition!

I like it as is, sepia is fine. It's funny, you make the dancer enter just now to order him to exit next. So for me this is a picture about time.

Excellent visual design. Love to see more images of this series. I am sure it will look much better on larger sizes, since we could recognize the sign is in Hebrew.

Some gradient like the BW version could give better sense of depth, imho.

Is very much appreciated.

MIKE, I upload an English version, can you compare it with the hebrew one?...

HANNA, that how I have understood your comment, with out the sign it does not work for me....

PULOK, Appreciate your comment

ANDREA, he exits from behind the backdrop...I like your interpretation

RAY, look at the folder " Dance in Formation", which have my first works of that serries. I'm going to print them in a small/medium( 20/30 cm) format to see how it works printed..

Thanks to all of you for writing your point of view, very helpful.

Pnina this is so gorgeous. So minimalistic in conception, yet it speaks volumes. The tones are quite esquisite too. I love it! Regards, Kelvin.

I like it beter in sepia and as is. There is a slight blur, but he is in movement, so I'd keep it without touching too much.

Thanks, Kelvin and Paula.

Paula, I worked on it some more( light and contrast), I think it is better now.

Yes, the sepia is better than the BW Pnina.

May be in english too, but it depends what you will do with the pic.

Pnina, this is one of these cases where I would not dare suggesting you to do anything else than what you have done. My advice to you would only be : Don't touch it anymore. This is genuine artistic expression.

In my eyes, the composition is perfect with every element at the right place where they should be . Mowing the exit sign or the person would make the composition fall apart immediately. It is in my eyes also symbolic and I see the sign written in Hebrew as obviously political. Great art !

Pnina, amongst the various versions, I prefer the black and white one. I like the composition although I think I would have liked him more in it, but not by much.

Pnina, the English version works much better for me of course! I think for it be work even better, the dancer would need to be in the left of frame so that the letters trail off toward the direction of the exit, as it does in the Hebrew one. Maybe the letters could be a bit smaller and more discrete too? - sort of 'hinting' rather than 'indicating' the exit. Just my thoughts...the photo is a great idea.

A most unusual shot, Pnina. I think the half image of the dancer works well and is just far enough away from the sign to be in balance.
