davidbridge 0 Posted April 14, 2006 F32 1/4 sec I did some more shots later at up to 4 seconds but this is my favourite as I ctually like a little detail in the water rather than the mist that the longer exposures give. What do you think? Link to comment
minicucci 0 Posted April 14, 2006 Hi David: I can understand why your eye went to this scene. I'd recommend a tighter crop, to better frame the little waterfall and some adjustments in color balance (this is a bit blue/red) and EV to better saturate the natural colors. Quick example attached. I understand the small aperture (to get some water blur) but shooting at f32 will degrade crisp focus. Lens just do not perform well at that end of the range. You might try using a neutral density filter instead and targeting your lens' sweet spot for aperture. Link to comment
davidbridge 0 Posted April 15, 2006 You're right about the crop. I actually already cropped this photo twice but I agree that yours is better. For some reason I liked the big rock at the bottom right but I was wrong. I have also ordered a colorometer but it hasn't arrived yet so I think I'll get the colour balance better in the future. I hope so but as I am actually colour blind you never know - Pink water anybody? ;-) Dave Link to comment
