carnelli 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Interplay of light and muted colours suggests a mutual theme, but also individuality is preserved.....well done.....Tye. Link to comment

barreto 0 Posted April 14, 2006 Ellen, this is a very good color collection, simple composition but impressive. The light effect is beautiful and that red tulip small part in the image left side is a curious detail. The overall atmosphere is unusual when taking flowers photos (perhaps by night with a lantern or door open) and I find that very interesting and inspiring. Link to comment
jeverz 0 Posted April 14, 2006 Thanks Paulo and everybody for the nice comments! Paulo, the photo is cropped, there was more red in the leftside. (well seen.) The photo is taken in day time, but in the livingroom there is no sunlight, i often take my flowerphoto's there because i like the light somehow. I did some level in photoshop, but not to much. timohicks 0 Posted April 15, 2006 This is a magnificent capture, perfect in composition and almost as well in clarity. My favorite part of the image is the sun-lit petal on the white tulip that is not washed out. Excellent work! Thanks Ellen for you comment on "Baptism: Of the Resurrection and the Dead in CHRIST." Ironically, I got more three's on that piece than I have ever received. I have never received seven 3's on any one photo and while I know there are many on this site who don't appreciate manipulated imagery, this is very strange(I guess the devil is here as well [smile]). Have a blessed Resurrection Day! Link to comment
bogdan_dumitru 0 Posted April 16, 2006 Ellen, you're the master of flowers! :-) What colors you have... what a greatly picked DOF... what perfect framing. I really am no big fan of flower photos... until I see yours. Superb! I also need to thank you for following my work. It's my delight to have photographers as gifted as you checking my portfolio. I felt inspired by my last two subjects and I thought I could get more of them. If you have a second, please rate (and maybe leave a few words shall you have the time) my latest two photos: the arch of light andthe need to break free. Thank you and I'll keep looking at your work as source of inspiration, --Bogdan Link to comment

kleintje 0 Posted April 18, 2006 For not having direct sunlight in your living room, you definitely know how to make the most of the light you do have. The colours of the flowers and the composition are beautiful, but for me it's the colour shift in the background that finishes this photo. Link to comment
