I can't decide if I prefer this one or the sandwiched version. They're both really nice interpretations. I love the quality of the light and of course the setting. My only nit is the dark thing at the top of the frame (above the window). It's a very minor distraction. I'm not sure you could have eliminated it without creating other problems-like cutting the picture frame off on the left or leaving too little room above the window. Hell, it might have made the photo too perfect anyway. Forget about what I just said. It's fine the way it is. I hope your lunch was as rewarding as the scene.
