daily_photograph 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Not a work waiting to be assessed by me, its a different league. I remember a similar feeling when I heard the Jazz pianist Cecil Taylor. Didnt understand one note, never could play a single line like he did, even when I would train it for two years - and nevertheless, there was a deep sense ... From the "this world sight" I mean hiding the little finger would be a better choice - it takes too much attention of the whole like this. Link to comment
Gracias---------You are a Genius in the art of the image, perfect technical work, light, color, beauty and composition, a cordial greeting Paula. PD: do not worry for the punctuation, it is it of less. Thank you. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Richard, thanks lots for your constant support. Daily, I think yours is the most original, delightful comment one can expect on this image. The comparison with jazz variations fits so well for what I try to create with my interpretation of the music of images. Thank you so much. You'd hide the little finger? In my "jazz" interpretation:-) it was to show the difficulty to ask for help, greater than to give. Julio, very grateful for your supportive comment. It's great to see that a nature photographer, and an excellent one as you are, appreciates different attitudes to photography. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 13, 2006 Paula, I agree about the little finger for better result of composition, but in general I find it a bit bizarre, and to be honest with you I connect less to this one. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Awesome! Just like something out of genesis. Nice rendering. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Pnina, I can try to hide the little finger--had not thought about this possibility. It's all right to say you do not connect with this one. I appreciate honesty and think that not all the images touch viewers, stir a response. Thank you. Alec, thank you. I did try to attach a moral ( if not religious) symbolism to this image. cherlyn 1 Posted April 13, 2006 Very nice work, Paula. The hands reaching out towards each other in the swirls of circle signify your caption. Link to comment
alexandra rauh 0 Posted April 14, 2006 Paula,Just without thinking, the optical view hits strikingThe lines turning around and the fingers playing part of it. I see the previous psychological discussion, what I understood, after I had read it.Maybe for that the finger could be a little more obvious helpless. But the intuitive registration is anough for me to enjoy the performance with my eyes Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted April 14, 2006 I like it A LOT, because it's thrilling. The atmosphere reminds me of some James Bond trailers, though yours is more on the spiritual side ;-) Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted April 15, 2006 Thank you for watching and "reading" the image. And tons of wishes for a Happy Easter or a joyous w/e if you are not celebrating it. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted April 18, 2006 Wonderfully creative and inovative. I too would prefer the full finger in the lower hand but that's a minor point. Well done! Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted April 18, 2006 Thanks again, Ken. I'll make a version with full little finger. Link to comment
