atkphotoworks 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Oh yeah this guy's got it happening Mark. I wondering if the sides were a little tight regarding his hands but I think it works. Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted April 12, 2006 Thanks Amar :) I deliberately wanted a tight crop and framed it as such before I took the shot ;)Mark :] Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted April 13, 2006 This was one of a number of pose, light & framing experiments shotusing only on-camera flash and a reflector at 1am ;)Your comments would be much appreciated.Model: My cousin (and photography assistant) Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted April 13, 2006 Thank you both for your comments :) Will, come to think of it, he does look a bit like Eddie ;)Mark Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted April 13, 2006 This guy has definitely got "star" quality. Perfect composition, subject & exposure. You know me, I got to see a little detail in the eyes. I'd adjust & just for fun I added a little "sparkle". Nice capture :) Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Definitely a younger Eddie Murphy circa the Saturday Night Live years. Link to comment
marahjj 0 Posted April 14, 2006 great lighting (and expression!!) on your cousin....love the detail you've captured (though,i agree, more details in his eyes would enhance this portrait even more).Your porfolio is very original..glad I came across it :) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 14, 2006 This guy is everywhere and we all know a version of him-cool as can be and at a moment in his life when he feels there's no-one on earth to touch him. Damn, i even felt like that for about 15 minutes back in my early 20's. You have done him a great service with your capture-pinpoint sharp, excellently toned and composed. Fine work indeed. Does he appreciate the job well done? Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted April 18, 2006 Yes, my cousin sure loves this capture :) I do too ;)Thank you all for your comments. Thanks jayme as usual for your show & tell ;)Mark :] Link to comment
rina 0 Posted April 19, 2006 Great portrait of a very handsome man. I am also not sure about the tight crop at the left side. Link to comment
shambhala 0 Posted April 19, 2006 Once again, I agree with Jayme's advice (and kind correction) regarding the sparkle in the eye - that's how you turn a statue into a human being. Great shot, good colours, ligthing and expression. You're getting there, Mark! Link to comment
thierrylaflamme 0 Posted April 27, 2006 Very good, Mark! I like the way you cropped his face. Regards from Ontario, Canada. Link to comment
